Would they even get to vote on the measure?
On the ISP? Yes. That is subject to a statewide vote.
Vote on the incorporation is only for those voters in the area that is being incorporated.

So why is every apartment complex that that is even close to the edge of the st george map that would fall in st. george cut out. You think the natl media won't pick up on that. There are several where the driveway and the apartments are the only thing not in the st. george area, while the surrounding area is st. george. I'm for st. george but that was a stupid decision that will open st george up to criticism
Because those were areas that did not support it the first go around. No point in trying to bring in a bunch of people that you know are going to vote against incorporation.

All those reasons make sense on the apartment thing.
First thing I thought of when I saw it was the SWJ crowd latching on to it.
In the past effort I know there was an article in either a new york or d.c. paper about how racist it was. It's coming.

Oh, you are correct. Facts and rational decision-making are foreign concepts to SJWs.

My family's future in EBR Parish depends on it. Would hate to sell and move to Ascension, but that is probably what will happen in a couple of years if we don't get St. George.

The SJWs don't even understand why St. George wants to be St. George, nor do they care. All they know is that on facebook, their SJW buddies told them that it was racist. And that's where it begins and stops for them. It's like a huge, ignorant and unintelligent social virus that spreads exponentially.

I really wish LSURussian would chime in on these SG threads. For whatever reason, he stays clear now. He opposed it, but was very knowledgeable about the process and always had good info during the first attempt.

Will st George take us white south baton rougeans as refugees once our farms get taken?

It boils down to one thing, education IMHO.
I would be royally pissed if my kid couldn't go to Baton Rouge Magnet, which is one of the top 3 schools in the state, anymore due to St. George.

Top three schools in the state?!??! ??
Posted on 11/30/18 at 9:07 am to oilmanNO
Top 3 are Ben Franklin in New Orleans, BR Magnet, LSMSA in Natchitoches

For every one person in your situation there are hundreds that have to choose between shitty public schools or private.

Really hope St. George passes. May give some hope to the area and it's residents. All they want is a community to be proud of and decent schools for their children to attend without paying 10K a year in private school tuition.
Posted on 11/30/18 at 9:28 am to DVinBR
Yes, but do you get his point? BRMHS and Lee are the only schools worth a shite in Baton Rouge, but they can only take a small percentage of the kids in BR. The rest are forced to choose between crappy public schools or expensive private schools.
And if you are lucky enough to get your kid(s) into BRMHS or Lee, you better hope they don't want to compete in the major HS sports.

Isn't BR Magnet High 4 year school? If your kid goes there they will probably be finished by the time this is all sorted out.
If you want to go to that school now and live in St. George you should just move or vote against it. It is pretty simple.

No No. They are throwing Magnet behind other school names now. So others are great. Woodlawn Magnet High
