They do cloning now

Cloning doesn’t guarantee the new animal will have the same disposition or attributes, tho. They’ve cloned performance horses and most of them never achieved the success of the original animal. I’d be pissed if I spent all that money for a clone and he was more Cujo than Rin Tin Tin.

None. What makes life so beautiful and so tragic are the actions taken with the time we have and the memories made.

Enjoy the memories and learn from losses

Nothing. Our time together was wonderful but it's over. The finite nature of life is what gives it meaning.

Nada, nothing, zip, zero.

Yes I miss them but they are animals and I move on.

How much would I pay for one more day in the duck blind with my Grandpa? Hell, that would be a big number. I have so many questions for him and want to tell him how much I appreciate everything he did for me growing up that I didn't even begin to realize or truly appreciate at the time.

We just put our chocolate lab down 2 weeks ago.

It’s been very strange. I look for him and wonder where he is easily 10+ times a days at this point. Sometimes just minutes after the previous episode. He was always right beside me. If he wasn’t, I knew the exact two places to look for him.

I’d pay good money to have him back longterm.

Some people just haven’t experienced a real devastating loss in their lives yet.
Ive had some phenomenal hunting dogs. My best being a catahoula named Grits

If she knew I paid $5,000 to bring her back from the dead for one year she would kick me in the nuts. Like any true good dog/friend would do….

I had a dream recently where mine got loose and I couldn’t find him. My dreams are never good

So had a version of this conversation with my dad a while back. My dog growing up died being run over.

Said I wish that dog was still around. He was so protective and loyal.

Dad said that dog was dumb as brick. Did nothing but run down the neighborhood and tear up people's property. The entire neighborhood was happy as hell he got run over. We did what we could to save him. My dad put out $850 at the vet in 1995. He just couldn't tame the dog

Guess some animals are about perspective.
