Planning to have the truck the rest of my life, itll be my 2nd vehicle in a few weeks.

The commuter car will be a 5 year prospect at best. I put about 40k/year on the car.

Current vehicle is paid for so until it is no longer cost effective... We have enough saved to get a good vehicle for when we have to get rid of this one. Fell into financing a depreciating asset long ago and will not make that mistake again. I know not everyone is in a position save enough to buy a vehicle ,but have a good down payment and finance the minimum amount of months you can. Financing a car for more than 4 years is a terrible decision.

I have an 05 Jeep with 174 on it. It still runs great. Defying the Jeep odds. I want to drive it past 200k so hopefully I get a couple more years out of it.

Good Lord man how long is your commute
50 miles. But I like living 20 minutes from Alex Box and Tiger Stadium..
I have two little ones in Natchez too. I go get them from carpoool every other Friday and shite like that.
I don't mind. It's what daddies do. Plus my pay is great and my boss is fricking awesome.

I don’t know but I have a 2015, and I’m 57 so, I’m hoping I only have to buy one more car after this one.

This thread is depressing. I just bought a 19 Tahoe. Made my second payment two days ago and it has 8,000 on the odometer already.

I am going to have to hurry and pay it off before it dies.

Mine is a 2015 with 87K on it. I've had it since December of 2016 with 8K miles on it. I usually get a new one every couple years but I like it and think I'm gonna hang onto it for a couple more years.

Mine is 12 years old and has 65,000 miles. Was given to me by my FIL who’s dad owned it and didn’t drive anywhere.

When I got the car the oil change was 3 years over due, but 800 miles away from the 3,000 mile mark

I plan on driving it until the body rusts. It’s a 2007 Toyota Highlander limited sport

2010 BMW 328 w/ almost 90k. Wanted to drive it another 3-5 years but probably going to replace it w a 17 or 18 VW Alltrack before moving overseas soon (mx costs are high there and don't want to succumb to temptation to buy a new Audi, BMW, or Mercedes tax free.)

Saving cash for new cars has made me much less eager to buy and I've gone several years longer between purchases than if I'd have gone w "easy monthly payments." Drove the last one for 10 years and only sold it to get a tax free "deal" last time I was overseas.
