Mine is 11 years old with 170,000 (2008 GMC Sierra). My son will be driving in 2 more years, he can have this one and I'll get another one.

In the old days when people got around by horse and buggy, and a horse couldn’t go anymore, they’d shoot it and get a new horse. But only once the horse couldn’t go anymore.

I plan on riding my horse until I have to shoot it.

My car is 6.5 years old with 61K miles. I'm hoping for another 10 years out of it.

I generally drive them about 15 years...eventually, a breakdown will make me not trust them any more around that age and I get a new one.

Have had my 2010 Nissan Altima for a little over 2 years now. It’s my first car. Still runs pretty smoothly, will probably continue with it all throughout college and then get a new one. Currently at 85,000 miles.

Mine is a 14 w/ 80k. Hopefully will be getting my next before I hit 100k. No issues with mine at all and would be fine keeping it I just prefer a f250 over a 150. Also, I somehow have equity in my truck.

I’d have 500k by then. I don’t use my car for commutes and still rack up 15-20k/ year. Plan to keep it ~10 years and 200k miles.

Are you like 90 years old? How do you only put 5k a year on your vehicle?

No plans to get rid of my current car, but I probably won't keep it much past 5 years of ownership. I love creature comforts/options and warranties and TBH I'm okay with knowingly pissing a little bit of money down the drain on it.
