I have 2 dogs.
Posted this before, but told the wife if she dies on me, I'm selling everything, buying some fenced in acres and adopting all the senior/special needs/unwanted pets i can and taking care of them the rest of my life.

1 middle aged dog. Good boi. Going gray around the mouth, suspecting his eyesight might be going a bit. 1 poorly maintained aquarium by my wife. It's super green and she can't figure out what is wrong.

3 adopted cats. Got 2 of them at about 6 years of age, since most folks want kittens. 1 was dumped after the flood - a little guy who adopted us.

2 pups: a black Lab and a Golden Shepherd.
The Golden Shepherd has made it her mission in life to eradicate the Earth of all rabbits, mole and squirrels.

Regular vet bills are crazy. I need to find an old crusty vet. These younger vets are more like chiropractors with how they run their clinics to scam money.
Good luck. As product, payroll, lease, etc costs rise the mom and pop old cheap vets are closing their doors across the country.
Covid boom for vets allowed the industry to catch up as they were always behind with service price increases. Just like human medicine, as we advance with science, a price tag comes along with that.
