Lost my last grandparent just a few years ago. Knew she didn’t have much time left, so I made a point to spend time with her. Once a week we’d have an old movie night and watch stuff on TCM. After we’d drift into discussions on family history. I really cherish those times. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Learned so much about her that I never knew.

None, and I only vaguely remember my maternal grandmother.

33 years old here.
My maternal grandparents have passed and my paternal ones are living. Both pairs lived to 75+ and both have been married for 50+ years.

No grandparents, no parents.
Its a very strange feeling. Can't explain it. But you do feel very alone.

Only had 3 when I was born.
They died at ages 65, 73, 89, and 90.
Father passed away at 84
Mother still going, fairly, at 91.

All of mine are gone.
But, when my daughter was born in the early '80s, she had four living grandparents and eight living great grandparents.

One. My paternal grandfather.
My paternal grandmother died in 2017. My maternal grandfather died when I was in the 3rd grade. My maternal grandmother died well before I was born.

None. My dad’s parents died before I was born. My grandfather died when I was 8, and grandma when I was 23. She was almost 97.
My FIL died when my son was a few months old, and my dad died years ago. It makes me incredibly sad that he won’t know either of his grandfathers. They both would’ve adored him.

Love them and enjoy them all you can!
Ask them about the old days growing up! They will enjoy that. You will be glad you asked later!
Ask them about family. Their parents and grandparents.
I learned a lot from mine but as I got older I think of so many things I wished I would have asked them about their life.

Been without for quite some time. Down to one in my early teens. In my thirties when my last one passed, I'm 60 now.
My older kids (late 30s) have 1 one each side each, my mom and my ex's dad. My younger two have 3 left, all in their eighties Kids are early-mid twenties. Hard to say how many they will have in their mid 30s.
Be thankful.

Mine are long gone. Matter of fact, I never knew my grandpa on my mon's side of the family since he had died before I was born. My grandma on that side lived to be 97 and died in the mid 90's in a nursing home with dementia.
My grandpa and grandma on my dads side I can remember, although the grandpa vaguely since he died when I was a toddler. His wife died when I was in my teens but was one of those hypochondriacs that had every illness known to mankind and the pills to fix it. I never saw her out of bed the last 10 years of her life.
