That doesn't make any sense.

Whites are responsible for all horrors in the world. Racism, sexism, slavery, homophobia, climate change, poverty, etc.

Why would anyone want to be around such disgusting people?

When I was growing up in the 90s to early 2000s, my school was relatively mixed. Maybe about 70:30 white to black.

When is 70-30 ‘relatively’ mixed?

Students typically go to the schools in their district. There tends to be large segments of African Americans living in the same communities. Those kids go to the same schools.

I dont understand the question.

East Baton Rouge parish schools are only 18% white due to parents choosing private, and parochial schools for their children . Most of the white students in EBRP schools are enrolled in gifted/talented/magnet programs.

East Baton Rouge Parish Public School Statistics / Demographics

Total Number of Students 57,781
American Indian/Alaska Native 51
Asian 1,254
Hispanic 1,498
Black 41,529

White 10,891
Hawaiian Native/Pacific Islander 0
2 or more races 0

Also, you never return to your threads and answer any questions. I would ask why but there will be no answer so I'll let it be.

That is a problem I'm trying to rectify.

I apologize if it was too obscure. I'm referring to the fact that so many people feel the need to put kids in private schools. Where I grew up, we had a good mixture of kids. It was never a poor black school vs all white school type of situation. I admittedly am new to city life, but I never really though poverty and misbehavior was THAT BAD.

My folks weren't rich, so either the demographics in our town were just balanced or perhaps poverty rates are disproportionately higher in urban areas.

You are trying to rectify people putting their kids in private schools? Mine are in public schools but I don’t understand how it’s a problem for kids to be put in a private school if their parents choose to. Blacks can put their kids in private schools just like whites can.

Most cities with a Similar demographic breakdown seem to do very well.

.Via looking at free lunch I can pretty much tell you the ethnic breakdown of the school

They do correlate often times. However, you can have a school that is 90 % white, yet have 60% on free lunches and you'll know the school is full of white trailer trash.

Whether forced or natural segregation will always take place.

People align with others of similar interests and different races enjoy different things and have different values. Nothing wrong with it, and doesn’t mean we can’t be cordial with or treat equally those who are different while preferring to mostly associate with our own kind.

White and black kids dont play together in New Orleans area. South Mississippi, they do. Solve segregation by integrating elementary schools.

They tried the same thing in LA in the late 80s. The schools were more segregated than even 15 years later and remain that way today.

The issue was the forced bussing. They took kids from the worst neighborhoods in the city and bussed them to the decent public schools. The final result is that all of the public schools suck now other than the selective admissions ones.

Could it be because they saw through the bullchit? That the public school system cared more about social experiments that appeased to the governing people's white guilt and/ or racism/classism than that of the children's education?

Could it be that they saw the writing on the wall? That they knew that many of the children who were coming were birthed and raised by parents of pure trash, and that said children would introduce their decayed worldview into their children's minds for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, as opposed to mathematics? Can you/we blame them? Be very careful, and be very honest on how you answer.

I grew up and graduated from a school that was 80/20 black to white. My graduating class was 93% black. I fought with, cried with, ran with, you name it, black people, and I still do. Some of the greatest men that I will ever know and mourn for when they're gone (and they me) are men with black skin. Men who are proud of their black skin, their black heritage, and their southern white "racist" (according to pop culture) members of their community that they gladly and happily live next to and who they deeply care about.

(The most stereotyped man that ever lived, who is attributed with more ignorant blanket statements than any other, is the southern white man.)

The ones who have children are some of the finest fathers that a youngin could ever ask for, and none of them would knowingly send their child headfirst into a school full of white, black, orange or yellow trash if given the choice. What does that make them?

The concept is simple, and the answer (to your question) is even simpler: Strife and poverty breeds such like a rampant disease, and success and prudence likewise. To be around successful people, and good, honest, contributing members of society makes you thirst for it; to be around garbage makes you smell like it...wallow in it for long enough and you become it .

It is not an opinion, it is fact, and outside of the exceptions, it is the rule. The sky is blue and the sun rises in the morning, and the open honest truth of the matter is irrefutable.
