Not anymore, President Obama changed the rules. Everyone focused on the Michelle Obama championing for healthy lunches, and looked over the rules changes.
If you attend a school, where over 50% of the students at that school or who live in that county/parish get free or reduced lunch, you are entitled to a free school lunch & breakfast (if available).
Example if you attend any public/charter school in the parish of Orleans, no matter your income, if you school participates in the Federal National School Lunch Program you get free lunch.
