From what I seen, it was more "patch" work than actual renovation.

Which is why I was so glad that stupid bridge was torn down.

Maybe someone will come in and buy it for the land. Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc. Just not a Walmart.

They will have to charge $50 just to enter the parking lot to park .

That will cut down on the rif raf .

Implement a dress code.

No saggy swimsuits or cleavage. One pieces only for the females. Attire must properly fit body.

That will eliminate half of the trash.

Rif raf always has money to go to parks and recreational venues. It’s the middle class who struggles with that expense.

Season passes being only $80 means it won’t keep out the riff raff as it’ll be cheaper than summer camp to just buy the $80 season pass and let them loose at the water park all day.

Single day passes are right around $30-$35

It looks good but realistically, how long do you give it?

If they are doing more than just patching things up (ie: full repaints, getting new rafts for the lazy rifer to replace all the old, faded, patched ones, actually staffing their vendor stalls, quality sound system throughout the park NOT playing the shitty current music, etc) then it could go another 5-10 years (or longer). If they are just patching holes and trimming bushes then 2-3 years max.

If you want to do quality business, you have to first have a quality product.

They're legit trying to make a nice place there, but white people of Baton Rouge have already verbally doomed it before it's even open.
If we'd actually leave the house instead of sitting on the couch doing the keyboard warrior gig, we could make BR a great city again.
If the same crowd that goes LSU tailgating (except for that one crowd) would show up to other public events, the city would have a different atmosphere.

These days, 90% of the people complaining about NOLA/Baton Rouge, haven't been to an event in NOLA/Baton Rouge in 20 years.

Bring on the downvotes, but everyone knows there's some truth to it.

Real question is how long until someone starts firing a gun after being disrespekted

The 18-25 year old crowd doesn't really go to Blue Bayou. It's usually a bunch of moms and kids.
Also, it's kinda hard to hide a pistol in a bathing suit.
Last time we went, all bags were checked at the gate.
