I’m confused, people actually think transgender isn’t a mental illness?

What is their justification?

At least the dog knows it's a dog, and knows what other dogs are. It also knows a male from a female.

There is no difference, both are impossible. On a related issue I was once banned from Facebook years ago for saying that there was no such thing as transgender. I was sent a message saying I was banned for 30 days for hate speech. They ask you if you agree or disagree with their punishment. They give a section to respond. I told them that I did not agree and it wasn’t hate speech based upon the fact that you cannot change the chromosomes in your body and that no body modifications will change what you are. They ended up reinstating me a few hours later.
