I routinely park in handicap spots as well as gas pumps when I’m not getting gas. Come at me!

Not handicapped people who park in handicapped spaces should be stabbed in the dick.

We also have DV plates with the wheelchair. They are good in other states, too.
I'm not against handicap parking spaces for those with physical disabilities that limit their mobility. But, those folks seem to be the in the minority of those I see using the spots.

I’ have a progressive lung disease and have trouble breathing even with my portable oxygen concentrator. Healthy people parking in these spots was a pet peeve of mine before my illness but it’s amped up now that I truly need the closer spots . I know there are many people with the handicap placard that are healthy and those people are despicable and IMO are worse than the inconsiderate people who don’t have a placard but park there anyway.

There is a special place in hell for people parking in handicapped spots that don’t have a tag/plate or are using one when they don’t really need it. And for the people who park in the striped loading zones next to the handicapped spots, I hope you die a torturous death before finding that special place in hell.
That said, the other reserved spots have gotten completely out of hand. My local grocery store has not only handicapped spots but spots for expectant mothers, shoppers with small children, law enforcement, and six spots for curbside pickup.

quote:I hate it when I drive into a parking lot, and see a dozen empty HC spots. All that prime real estate, constantly wasted because they think Bertha Bigg-Butt might want to go to Lowe's and do some home improvement.
I hate when a car with a handicap sticker is parked in one of my spots. One of my pet peeves.

frick them. My grandad was crippled in his 30s and refused to park in handicapped spots because other people needed them more, according the to him. It pisses me off to see someone with a “hidden ailment” park and walk with no issue into the store.
Now curbside pickup? frick the retailer that takes 20 spaces and has nobody in them. I’ll park there. My time in stores is inconsequential compared to most. In and out.

I have a valid handicapped tag. When I got it I needed it but not so much anymore unless I'm having a bad day. When I don't need it I don't use it. People who illegally park in handicapped spots should be fined heavily.

Use your words to explain why without the ad hominem attack.
Why should the government control where you can park on private property?

Do you have any idea how moronic this sounds? There were virtually no mandated handicapped spaces prior to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990.
So you think people should burn in hell for all eternity because they don’t want to follow a law that has been in affect for barely 30 years?
This is the illness of government bureaucracy. They enact rules and regulations and within a short time they are equated with morality.
Madness.

Actual handicapped people should be able to cut their valve stems

Basically you're a big POS if you park in one and don't "qualify".
My question is do you check the cars parked in the spots?
It's a non-issue to me. Rarely/never do I pay attention to which cars are occupying the spots, nor am I handicapped, and it's been years since I carted around anyone who was.
