To be fair, people said it was unusual to have THIS MUCH rain so steadily.
Once bitten, twice shy, personally I'll go back during a different time period even if my last experience was an anomaly.
Would still recommend NZ to OP if in January
Wife and I spent this past January in Sevilla, Spain
It rained almost every single day and the weather was 40's-50's on average straight through.
We had a great time but the weather was a bummer
Since you mentioned January specifically, based on the weather, I'd choose NZ
Dozen or so raw oysters
Couple dozen fried oysters and a couple soft shell crabs
Mom's chocolate cake
Couple Coke's
Another vote for Sevilla, lovely city

Sounds like you wasted yours and your waiters time

Best $15 I've spent in a while

I remember thinking the same exact thing
I was honestly blown away by how well this worked
Made my son's 20+ yo Jeep headlights look brand new
Just looked it up and I did them in '23 they still look good, but I need to buy another box and do my wife's car
Thanks for the reminder

Sabella's in Revere has fantastic lasagna
I've only ever gotten it from the freezer case, and I think it's mostly prepared/takeout food
5 minutes away on Cape Cod in summer, go about once a week if the weather's nice
5 minutes away in Clearwater, FL, go about once a week if the weather's nice

TBH, I've never even considered it for a cruise.
We go on a cruise every year and for a few hours in a port it's mostly unnecessary to me.
If I have to connect, I can step into a bar/restaurant and connect to their wifi

I used Airalo in Nicaragua last year.
Worked flawlessly, I'd recommend and would use again.

FWIW, I switched to Spectrum mobile for general cell service at the beginning of this year.
Spent a month in Spain early spring and Spectrum has a $10/month add on that includes international service. That was a huge win and I didn't need to add an eSIM because of how well that performed. The add on can be turned on and off so I ended up paying the extra $10 for two months because of the billing cycle overlap, but I was extremely pleased with the service
This piece of garbage stole from all of us, directly or indirecty

So you're saying you and your wife are piss poor planners?

Lots of downvotes but I agree. Generally they're not cheap, they're a convenience store with convenience store pricing for most things.
I'm a snowbird and cape cod summer home I don't even know where the closest DG is. Probably Hyannis which is 40 min away. No go

Florida there is one about 5 minutes away and I've been once in the past three years for a birthday card. Specifically.

If it's all that's around, I get it, but if you've got other options, they are probably better
My BIL had a procedure a couple days ago and I was his driver.
We got out of the hospital about 3 pm and he'd fasted since 9 pm previous.
I'd planned to go to someplace decent but he said get me to the closest fastest place which was BK.
So we go to the drive through because he's an older fella and we had to sit in recovery extra because anasthesia dizzy, BP, etc. No way was I going to let him get out of the car and walk around.
These clowns were SLOW. He tells me he never does the drive thru, doesn't trust em, slow, etc.
I say MOTHERfrickER NEITHER DO I, this is on you.
Kid at the window was super apologetic and nice so no big deal, and my BIL enjoyed the frick outta his whopper, but it'll probably be a few years until I have to hit the drive through again
hopefully
Love and happiness to you and your mother,
and more moments just like this.
we pray

re: Narcos Question

Watched the original years ago and loved it.
Didn't know about Narcos Mexico until I read about it here, just finished the first 10 episodes.
Love it, thanks all
I'll start by saying I don't have much in the way of specific recs.
I love conch and the Bahamanians do it better than anyone else imo.
Theres a shack on Junkanoo beach that has great crack conch, but all the spots seem to do that well.
I had amazing grilled conch somewhere on Nassau in the 90's when I took off on a moped but I haven't been able to find it since.
You could probably find someone that stews it, or curries it, etc.
Sorry I can't help with specific spots, but they all seem to know how to cook conch well, and there's not a whole lot of places in the world you're going to get conch fresh, so imo the Bahamas is the place to get your fill of it if you enjoy it.

If you read my comment that's not what I meant. My position is based solely on my view and perogative.
I drive a 2004 4runner that I absolutely love but I'm distinctly aware isn't turning heads
My wife drives a newer sedan, it's "prettier" than my 4runner, my "pussy" comment was the fact that its got a 2.4 liter non turbo 4 cylinder that is just utterly depressing to drive (imo).
Yeah, I don't give 2 shits what the Jones's think. Just my personal driving preference.
