re: Narcos Question

Posted by HarrisonTown on 5/14/26 at 9:59 pm to
Watched the original years ago and loved it.
Didn't know about Narcos Mexico until I read about it here, just finished the first 10 episodes.
Love it, thanks all
I'll start by saying I don't have much in the way of specific recs.
I love conch and the Bahamanians do it better than anyone else imo.
Theres a shack on Junkanoo beach that has great crack conch, but all the spots seem to do that well.
I had amazing grilled conch somewhere on Nassau in the 90's when I took off on a moped but I haven't been able to find it since.
You could probably find someone that stews it, or curries it, etc.
Sorry I can't help with specific spots, but they all seem to know how to cook conch well, and there's not a whole lot of places in the world you're going to get conch fresh, so imo the Bahamas is the place to get your fill of it if you enjoy it.

If you read my comment that's not what I meant. My position is based solely on my view and perogative.
I drive a 2004 4runner that I absolutely love but I'm distinctly aware isn't turning heads
My wife drives a newer sedan, it's "prettier" than my 4runner, my "pussy" comment was the fact that its got a 2.4 liter non turbo 4 cylinder that is just utterly depressing to drive (imo).
Yeah, I don't give 2 shits what the Jones's think. Just my personal driving preference.

Absofrickinglutely realize that. My position is based solely on my view and perogative.

If his injury history in CFB isn't replicated in the pros and he stays on the field, yes

It's crossed my mind many times that I should be driving my wife's car regularly.
She doesn't drive much and it gets twice if not more than double my mpg.
I even mentioned it to my buddy the other day, but I ended with, frick that, I hate that pussy car.
So to answer your question, it's got to get a lot worse before I switch to something else
Kind of like it's hard to win championships and it's even more difficult to repeat

re: What's your favorite polo?

Posted by HarrisonTown on 5/10/26 at 10:39 pm to
I just realized my favorite polo that I've had for years and years is a RL purple label.
Don't remember when/where I got it, had never even heard it described, didn't even know it was a thing.
Now I've got something to tell the wifey when she asks what I want for bday/Christmas, etc
Thanks
I know dick all about that stuff.
She's got a million creams, lotions, etc, like all women do, but that's just not in my wheelhouse.

frick pennies
I have zero idea. None. But she smells good.
Maybe that's wrong of me not to know, but so be it.
She makes good money and gets what she wants I suppose, but if she asks me to get her x,y, or z, I'd be happy to.
I hope they can figure it out

Wow, great post and fascinating insight.
Bring em all in, I don't care how old they are or where they're from, just win.
Not saying I love it, but you gotta change with the times, and I've got 100% confidence that WW is dialed in.
Sounds like you are too, thanks for the info, been waiting for some news.
I can't wait for this to pop off

Same, Chili's really turned it around, 3 for me is damn good value, and a very solid burger.

This thread has been a trip down memory lane, Coach Ray, Big Man, Al Scramuzza.
Would be a real shame to steal Bright from today's JP kids.
