re: How do we explain Love?

The attraction (aka Love) began the moment Adam saw Eve in the Garden. As was originally intended, Love is the driver that leads to procreation, which leads to babies, which leads to happy families. God gave sex to mankind for his/her benefit and for the expansion of God's Kingdom on Earth.

My generation demanded that young men practice restraint in their relationship with young women. Our whole social system was geared towards creating oppertunities for young men and young women to socialize. Our Church and chaperoned school social functions (proms, sock hoops, dances, etc) was the ultimate Meet Market. The demand for sexual restraint caused young people falling in love to actually talk about who they are, what were their expectations from marriage.

Most important the culture was geared towards helping families. Good jobs were always reserved for men with families first. Families bought cars, refrigerators, and homes. The economy worked.

Love begets love. Parents became grandparents and provided valuable assistance to couples raising children. Family reunions was the stuff of memories. Children need fond memories.

Sad.
