Some say love is a measure of how much someone needs another in their life for whatever reason.

But, love has many definitions and shapes. A lover is different from a parent to child. A brother's love is different from a friend's love (though, those can be close.)

There has never been a better explanation than this…

quote:

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Love
I've heard the word before
It's sleeping in my memory
I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died
If I never loved, I never would have cried

Love can be experienced as a "feeling"... but in the end, love is a choice we make daily, several times a day.

The concept of love as described in Interstellar is the weakest part of the movie. That it's some sort of force that transcends space and time.

No it's just chemicals

I feel that love is that feeling you feel when you feel the most beautiful feeling you ever gonna feel.

An extension of oneself for the nourishment of another.

It is not a feeling. It is an action.

Sacrifice is the cornerstone of love.

And some people just aren’t wired to accept love and all it entails.

Love's just opened another truck stop in Mandeville at I-12 and LA-1099.

All I got.

Love is a choice in how you treat people.

I find it easy to love those who are blood related to me or who have married into my Family.

On the other hand, sometimes I choose hate when dealing with strangers.

I try my best to be good though.

Not love, but all the single people I know right now (I'm 47), I understand why they're single.
Also, if you're an attractive woman, you can be crazy and still find a man. Men are shallow when it comes to visual stimulation.

Love doesn't exist. It's just hoping for something in a different form when people have nothing else
