I care because it makes my insurance premium go up.

When we start charging the obese higher premiums then I will cease to care

If you're drinking one per day, it's probably fine. A dude who is pounding Monsters (even if sugar free) is probably messing with his heart.

Energy drink? That stuff is poison. I would rather eat a gas station burrito than drink that chemical trash.

Man, you really think sugar is the only thing unhealthy about energy drinks?

quote:

The ingredient most often accused is caffeine, especially when paired with taurine and other energy-drink additives.

A key study found that a sugar-free energy drink acutely increased platelet aggregation and decreased endothelial function in healthy young adults. That matters because the endothelium is the inner lining of blood vessels, and dysfunction there can make vessels less able to relax normally.

Another study found energy drinks were associated with increased platelet activity within 1 hour of consumption, which researchers proposed as a possible mechanism for cardiovascular events.

Detrimental effects of energy drink consumption on platelet and endothelial function

Might as well pop a few of those gas station sex pills for energy while you're at it. They are sugar free too.

You want to talk shite about a man grabbing a gas station meal, but you buy an energy drink. This did not pan out as you hoped. Congrats on the future afib.

Most of our food is trash. It’s fake boxed “food” far from nutritious or real. Meat and fresh food are toxic thanks to chemicals/pesticides. The only way to eat real food is a trusted local farmer, meat producer and dairy who doesn’t use chemicals and toxins.

Look at the bright side, the Ozempic folk are offsetting the gas station diners.
