most construction workers, or anyone working outside, don't really account for the fatties in our society

Convenience and lack of locking in. You have to be locked in. Few do it.

Man, you really think sugar is the only thing unhealthy about energy drinks? quote:The ingredient most often accused is caffeine, especially when paired with taurine and other energy-drink additives. A key study found that a sugar-free energy drink acutely increased platelet aggregation and decreased endothelial function in healthy young adults. That matters because the endothelium is the inner lining of blood vessels, and dysfunction there can make vessels less able to relax normally. Another study found energy drinks were associated with increased platelet activity within 1 hour of consumption, which researchers proposed as a possible mechanism for cardiovascular events. Detrimental effects of energy drink consumption on platelet and endothelial function Might as well pop a few of those gas station sex pills for energy while you're at it. They are sugar free too.
Yes. A study with 50 subjects. Excellent source.
And of course all energy drinks are made the same!!

Have you? The workers are not as fat as the general population on average. The guys telling the workers what to do are another story.

you think people working outside make up the highest percentage of the fatties in our country? i would think the ones who make up the highest percentage are unemployed then office workers and then blue collar laborers.

The issue with people working outside (I have been around many), is that they believe because they have a labor intensive job, they can eat like assholes.
