Eliminate soft targets like schools, churches, and places that are know gun free zones.
High profile people send their kids to schools with armed security. We guard our banks and money with armed security. We guard stadiums and event venues with armed security. It’s time we treat our children like valuable assets to protect.

Bring back the religious conformity of the 1940s-50s and a sense of belonging that comes with that.
Most, if not all mass shooters, are nihilist who take nihilism to its logical conclusion.

Expand our mental healthcare systems. Open more hospitals for people to get treatment when they're struggling mentally. Make it easier for parents to get treatment for their children. I have several friends who have adopted children that have needed help and it's nearly impossible to get someone placed in a facility for extended treatment beyond 48-72 hours.

Bring back public hanging. This actually served a purpose in society law and order. In fact, going back in time most executions were public events.

That will help some, but it’s doesn’t help to eliminate the crazy people wanting to do this. Something with mental health needs to be done. No longer should we look at the “weird loner” kid and just think he’s different but fine. That kid isn’t fine, even if most of them aren’t going around shooting up schools, kids like that need help. No one actually enjoys being ostracized from their community, even if they say it’s a choice we have to start knowing better and getting these kids help even if that help is just finding what it is they like and are good at and making them do it, even if they act like they don’t want to.
