How bad is your handwriting

I have always had bad penmanship, but since the digital age it's gotten a lot worse. I am not sure kids today know what cursive is.

They think it is what people say in gaming chats.

Kids have no idea how to sign anything these days. It’s terrible.

Mine has always been terrible. They don’t even bother teaching it at most schools and haven’t for years.
I remember my Dad bitching about it over 10 years ago. Ironically he was a middle school computers teacher. The kids couldn’t even sign their own name in cursive at the end of his career.

mine is bad. I sometimes have problems reading my own handwriting when I print. I started to print because my cursive is really really bad. And I surely can't read my cursive writing. neither can anyone else. lol

I tried writing in cursive yesterday and realized that I definitely could use the practice.

I can barely read mine these days.
Don't get enough practice

Get compliments on my handwriting all the time because I’m old and when I took drafting and design in high school and college we actually printed everything
Still have to do alot of printing in job I’m doing now so I keep in practice so I’m sure that is only reason.
Cursive is legible but that is about it.

I started drafting before the introduction of desk top computers and CAD. My printing was on the level of a typewriter. It was not until I got out from under professors, that I induced my own styles. In turn, it sharpened up my hand writing.

Mine has gotten much better as I’ve gotten older.
And no, Billy Madison knows how to write a cursive z better than kids these days.

I hate it. Also my handwriting can vary from day to day which is weird and I cannot possibly be the only one like this.

So bad that my own mother said I should be a doctor.

My handwriting has always been pretty messy despite me trying to write neatly. I have to write so slowly that it almost becomes an impediment.
Recently, over the past 2 months, I’ve started writing only using capital letters, just writing smaller letters to indicate lower case. I saw this font used in a circuits book I was reading and decided to copy it. It slows down my writing, forcing me to focus on the pen stroke, but not so much that it’s an impediment to note taking or documenting the work.
Eta, I’m basically trying to write like this

I had to learn architectural lettering when I was in college and used it professionally for my first few years in a real job. Then Autocad came along and hand drafting died. I still use my lettering skills when I'm doing quick conceptual sketches for clients. And when I attend design meetings and have to sign an attendance sheet all of us designers judge each other's printing .
