My old director said I had the hand writing of a serial killer...
I told her, "some people are blessed with nice penmanship, some are blessed with good looks."
I've noticed that as well..

Kids have no idea how to sign anything these days. It’s terrible.
Same as with directions. They have their faces buried in their phone while riding in vehicles, they aren't looking where they're going. When we were kids, we had car audio, and a view of the landscape.
I tell my kids all the time, turn your phones off and look around...

I’m left-handed and write in cursive.

Mine has always been horrible. Sometimes I wonder if I have some sort of hand condition, but at my age I stopped caring.

It's gotten terrible and it used to be good. I can barely sign my name these days.

I am not sure kids today know what cursive is.
Cursive is completely worthless. It’s the last dying wish of the boomers that everyone be plagued with cursive writing, because they had to do it.

Unreadable. From being left handed to having to sign 300 checks at a time, my signature is only readable by me. Auditors would just verify what my mark looked like.

As an artist, I had learned calligraphy and tried to mimic all kinds of fonts over the years. I settled in on one and would say my style was closer to the “American Standard” logo (non-cursive capital letters followed by cursive letters. I was pretty proud of it cuz signing a wedding book, or hand-making birthday or Xmas cards always drew compliments which, like Pavlov’s dogs, made me want to keep it up.
But being creatively sedentary for over a decade, my handwriting has gone to shite. It’s legible and not chicken scratch, but it’s still a fricking mess.
Here’s what it used to resemble:

My cursive is still pretty good. My printing is a disaster.

With all respect, it is unfathomable to me that a person who spent hours upon hours practicing his or her cursive in 3rd grade and beyond could forget that skill.
I will never forget it for my entire life. I went to very good schools so maybe it was my teachers, God Bless Them.

Same here. If I slow down I can print neatly, but unless I do even my print is awful. My cursive is unreadable.

Mine used to be fine. My grandmother taught penmanship in elementary school for a while.
However, when I started consulting for clients, I intentionally made my handwriting worse so clients couldn't read the negative shite I was writing about them from across the table. It stuck.

As bad or worse than anyone on here.

It's pretty shite. I paid a calligrapher to make me a fancy signature to put on my work documents

Grandmother called it chicken scratch

I force myself to write in cursive to keep mine decent.
