Who knows if its for the Cartel, but yes most mexican restaurants are money laundering, scrubbing cash, whatever you want to call it.

One around the corner from me, owner drives brand new blacked out Cadillac Escalade. They shut down for periods of time while "going home" and then show up and re-open.

For anyone in BR who misses Pancho's, I recommend El Magey. It's very similar but slightly fancier.

Zapata's was one I was disappointed to see suddenly shut down a few years ago, but fortunately there are lot of of other good ones remaining in town.

Several.

At least 2 different locations in my town have had multiple Mexican restaurants open and close there.

Doesn’t go into other ones in BR closing in part due to issues with their lease, or Don Jose’s getting killed by Covid and replaced with a Juicy Crab.

No but I’ve heard it said that certain people on four chan are convinced that Chinese buffets are tied to spy rings for CCP. I have zero idea if this is true, for any balloons that may or may not be monitoring this space. In Minecraft. Allegedly.
