Hoover Dam receives patriotic glow-up for America 250. If you have been there in person you would know just how impressive this would be to see live.

There's enough concrete to pave a road for L.A. to N.Y. in this dam. At least that's what the tour guide said back in 1967.

Engineers calculate that if all 3.25 million cubic yards of the Hoover Dam’s concrete were poured as a single, continuous block, it would have taken 125 years for the concrete to naturally cool to ambient temperature.

They used cooling pipes to help cool the concrete. Some of them are still embedded in the dam and they used grout to fill them.
I went on a dam tour last month. I got to see more of the dam this time and walked through the dam from the visitor center elevator to the elevator in center of the dam that opens on the road.
There are cracks in the dam, but they are surface cracks. Also, the builders labeled and did pencil math on some of the concrete sections, so you can see some markings on the walls that look like graffiti. There is also a stairway that will take you from the bottom of the dam to the top. It is a steep stairway. I posted some photos of the tour in a different thread.

Been there to see it. Then back to change the Protection Relays for each turbine. Then once again to change communication printed circuit boards on each relay.

Can you imagine how many rainbow flags the fake biden adminstration would've put on there?

For folks who haven't seen the dam in person, to give you am idea of size, that American flag is roughly 300 feet by 180 feet.

Been there a few times, it's very fascinating.

My first instinct was to say, "oh come on, be real", but you are right.
