What's not to like? It's a clean city, tons of entertainment, great economy, great restaurants, nice people, beautiful secenery, nice weather, great city leaders.

You clearly haven't been to Nashville then. Nashville hipsters can easily compete with the New Orleans crew.

This is the one thing that is honestly understated and great about Nashville. Its almost perfectly located for great 4 season weather, but a fairly short peak summer and winter. I mean its almost smack dab in the middle of the country North-South wise.

I mostly like Nashville, but it is over hyped and, thus, over priced for what it is, imo.

Eh, I've only been once and didn't think it was all that. I like my cities to have charm and atmosphere, Nashville was okay but I don't get all of the love for it.

Seems like it would be fun for a "guys weekend" if you and your friends are single though.

Nashville downtown is extremely overated for a tourist to visit. Its basically 2 streets, and they aren't big at all. I get why people see it as overated, it is IMO for a long weekend visit. Its very spread out.

Great place to live though.

Nashville is about to get super California liberal. Will look and feel like Austin soon enough.

Nashville is a good city. But if you're from pretty much any other city its easy to see why it's not all that amazing to you. Same is true for Austin IMO.

Practically every city in the country has revitalized its core and added greenspace, breweries and better dining/retail. I won't say Nashville is boring, it's not, but it's just a "good version" of something that is being done everywhere.

My complaint about the downtown is the lack of variety. Mix in some cocktail bars, blues bars, jazz bars, beer bars, etc. Have some nice courtyard restaurants and bars, cafes, etc.

For "Music City", the downtown tourist area should offer more than that shite "bro-pop" country music you hear. Very few places play good music down there.

Also, it attracts red necks, hicks, hillbillies, and obnoxiously loud drunk bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The short trek to the roundabout plaza produces the same. The Mid-town area is roughly the same minus a few spots (Hattie B's and Tavern).

Significant, but not the same as HQ, which is expected to create 50,000 between NYC and Arlington.

"Atlanta sucks LOL" says dude who is bragging about a city whose explosion is due in no small part to CRE developments planned for Atlanta but priced out. We're not rivals, and Nashville is benefitting a ton from Atlanta's growth and improvement.

Evidently not considering you could pick up a dozen rocks and hit every one of those from a single stationary location.
