I work off Granny White in Brentwood and take it all the way down through 8th if I want to grab a beer after work. Pretty well known route but it's always clear. And the interstate is usually fricked.

nashville doesn't have traffic jams all day and into midnight half the time and weekends.
Nashville has pretty much the same interstate system that Atlanta does - one bringing traffic in from the east/west and two bringing it in from the north/south - and several other major non-interstate thoroughfares. As more and more people move into the suburbs, all of those pathways into downtown will get more and more crowded for longer and longer periods of time.
We were last in Nashville in the spring of 2015. Drove in on a Thursday afternoon and 24 was slammed getting into town. Also getting out to Opryland from downtown was slammed on Saturday afternoon - but we were going to the Opry, as was a huge ton of other folks. I can only imagine what that same drive has turned into nearly 4 years later.
Nashville is a great town - I love visiting, and it would be in the top 3 or 5 cities I would choose if I had to relocate - but don't think that as it grows, unless there are major capital expenditures (which can't ever really keep up with population growth), it won't become more and more like Atlanta in terms of quality of life.

I would much rather live in Marietta than Atlanta. Just like I would want anywhere that is not Nashville.
splitting hairs but i'll concede the point you're making. my aunt & uncle lived at the 109(?) split between roswell and marietta (near the giant KFC chicken) and its pretty nice there.

Don't toss me in the "broadway" dumbasses.
Broadway is awful
Locals don't go to Broadway.
That's like seeing Bourbon St. and saying New Orleans sucks.

He's loving this news.

we're about to be neighbors. my co. is moving into one capital view in april.
eta not sure which location you're at.
I was there for a bit when I worked for a subsidiary, but now I'm in HQ behind Centennial Park and sit by the C-Suite. I sit 100 feet from several guys that make more each week than I make each year.
Its a sobering feeling

you need to hit VOODOO GUMBO today. in bellevue and they bring in leidenheimers bread daily and you can get a damn tasty poboy and beignets for like $10.
Can second this. I live in Bellevue, and that place is damn good. I wish they would expand the menu though.
