Walking on Jefferson High near Highland Road. If I’m picturing that stretch correctly, there’s not much of a shoulder or any sidewalk. Isn’t that correct?

Very sad.

Article said she and the vehicle were traveling in the same direction. You should always walk facing/against traffic so you can see what is coming and react if necessary. I’m amazed how many people don’t know this.

Highland dead ends into Jefferson not too far from Hoo Shoo Too

Way down in St George a little before Hoo Shoo too and Azalea Lakes. Highland runs the entire length of the Parish.

Interview with Leah’s step father.
Praying that the person responsible for this comes forward.

Leah is my first cousin. We are the same age, within a year. I hope this person is caught, but regardless, it is a very strange feeling her being so young and my family member.

Thanks for posting and the respects. <3 Just a jarring situation all around.

Was it down by On the Run or At the intersection (highland jefferson)?
I saw lights down by on the run (hoo shoo too/jf)
at about 9:30.
I don't trust wbrz or wafb reporting accuracy

Just wondering if they were avoiding yellow divider maybe.

I think like my uncle said in the interview.. it's just a dark, winding place that you don't want to be walking, as there are no sidewalks and little light. She was upset, as we all are at times. And the worst possible thing happened to her.

I hope it was just someone scared and upset that fled. And that they can come forward.

They say a dodge vehicle, but is it a car, suv or truck?

I wonder if anyone in Baton Rouge can spot a dodge vehicle missing a passenger side mirror on any of their cams? Hoping they figure it out.

This is terrible.

They posted a pic of the rear view mirror the cock sucker left behind if you click on the article. They say it belongs to either a 2500 or 3500 series 2018-2020 Ram.

There’s no way he drives that thing around town with a busted driver rear view mirror

If she was an old black woman none of y'all would give a shite. This happens almost monthly on airline highway or Florida near the homeless shelter. WTF is she doing walking the wrong way in the pitch dark at 10 pm at night? Now the poor bastard that hit her's life is ruined too.

The driver ruined their life when they didn’t stop and call 911.
