Notice the amount of anger and outrage when this happens in this particular area? It’s a culture of responsibility. Maybe the north Baton Rouge area should take notes.

check sports bars for what?
Meant that it was possible he left a sports bar after the game, and was headed home. Area is dark, no shoulder, and his mirrors stuck out a ways.
Not his fault if he stops, but if he had alcohol in him different story. Would be reason to run.
Not saying that is the case, but impaired drivers (alcohol/drugs/texting) is the major cause of pedestrian accidents.

Hit and run is obviously a crime but the hit part is primarily the fault of the walker not the driver.

Not a good take & you should be ashamed.

2019 was the first year the heavy duty rams had the side sonar. It’s 19 and up and the three levels are Laramie, longhorn and limited. Go get em…

certainly... but I think we can agree that if you are trying to get run over, walking down a dark 2 lane highway on a narrow shoulder at night is a good way to do it
tragic all the way around (driver should have stopped obviously and will now be charged with a felony regardless of how this happened)

If the driver stops and is sober.... then it's an accident. If not, it's a crime and 100% the fault of the driver.

I'm guessing the bastard didnt stop to give aid because he was drunk. If it was accidental no decent person keeps going unless they are drunk or impaired or driving a stolen vehicle or have drugs on them or something. Hope this POS gets dipped in hot butter

Probably the case, yes.
Knowing them, I doubt my aunt and uncle want to nail him to a wall even if he had been drinking. Although the legal system would decide that anyway. They raised 3 kids - they’re no strangers to young people doing dumb shite sometimes. And they’re understanding people because of that. Sounds like their hearts just want closure.
Making a grave mistake like hitting someone is tragic but understandable and forgivable. Fleeing is not.

This is exactly right and I just want to say it is so impressive to see how you are representing your family and the grace with which you guys seem to be handling this.

I literally just read on nbcnews.com about how a 6 month old baby was shot and killed in Atlanta during some kind of argument between 2 pieces of shite. Nobody seems to care about that either.. so why don't you shut the frick up?

The Advocate is a shell of what it once was. You're lucky the article wasn't fraught with spelling and syntax errors.

You mean the literal piece of shite that didn't call 911 or help her out?

Sounds like something the hit n run driver would say. What kind of car do you drive? Could it be a Dodge Ram 2500.

People in Texas do the exact opposite. Anytime I'm walking down the street I have people walking against me because they are going with traffic.

Wow. What an attention- seeking , sadly racist POV and how sad for you to go through life imagining that your fellow Americans don’t care about the lives of people of other races. I just feel sadness for your dark and wounded heart. Seek the light, bro. It’s beautiful over here. We love each other. We even love you. Come to the light.

You’re supposed to bike with traffic and walk against traffic. That’s like day 1 of road safety. Now I wouldn’t ever walk or bike on a road in a million years but that’s what they say.
