Sorry for the loss of Hank. He looks like a good boy indeed. I’ll hug mine a little tighter tonight.

“Dogs’ lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you’re going to lose a dog, and there’s going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with her, never fail to share her joy or delight in her innocence, because you can’t support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion.
There’s such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price.” – Dean Koontz

I am so sorry for your loss. I have a precious kitty 16 years old who is in her final days. I pray that you will find comfort in the days ahead.

I lost a black lab to cancer (that spread to her brain) a few years ago, so you have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your pet. Hank sounds like he was a wonderful dog. :(

RIP, Hank. Sounds like you had a great home for 13 years.

I had to make that tough choice with my black lab, Jasmine a few years back. I still miss that spoiled miss thing.

Bless him he looks like a sweet boy. I've gone through that too many times to mention brother. Had one die in my arms at the emergency vet clinic. I would love to have another dog, just can't take that pain anymore.

Like another poster said, the many many many great days will always outweigh this one bad one. While it’s been an extremely rough one, I wouldn’t trade a day of the last 13 years with him for anything.

Frick! I knew not to click on this.
Sorry for your heartache. Had to put my last yellow lab down two weeks ago. Fricking cancer. Only 11 1/2 .

Sorry for your loss man. I went through cancer with my 13 year old boy recently, and it hit me very hard when he passed. Afterward, I decided to save a German from the pound and that’s helped a lot by giving me some purpose again. It gets easier with time
