Just have 4 then the problem solves itself.

We had three children 17 months and under. Our oldest was 17 months when the twins were born. It has been hectic and expensive, but well worth it.

Your friend has the right idea & mentality. What is there to do about it at this point except to concentrate on the positive aspects? Conjuring up negativity isn't going to do any good whatsoever, and neither is over thinking it. People tend to enjoy their children much more if they simply allow themselves to do so, and also when they don't try to control things they have no control over, and concentrate on & prepare for what you can; everything else will work itself out.

We just had a 3rd 2 months ago. Its not bad if your other 2 kids are wiping their own Butts and getting themselves dressed.

I have three children two years apart. Biggest thing when they are little is finding someone to keep three kids. One or two most people are good with ask them to keep three.... The other issue is vehicle size as most vehicles are maxed out at five and that doesn't leave much room for stuff if going on a road trip or bringing a guest. Next would be home size. We have a three bedroom home and the boys used to share a room then they began arguing too much so i had to convert a formal living into a make shift fourth bedroom. Now onto the expensive part. Private school tuition for three absolutely sucks and is the equivalent of a house note on a very nice home

I have two and we are planning a 3rd. Obviously the first kid changes your life, but imo having 2 made life harder than 1 simply because if one of us are alone with the 2 it sucks. My hunting and fishing time has been drastically reduced as the wife gets pissy with them by herself after 3-4 hours, with 1 I could be gone all day and it never mattered. So 3 doesn't change much except a little more money imo.

The world is so material right now, it can't get much worse. Frankly I've gotten to the point I enjoy cutting back and not GAF about nice things simply because I can use kids as an excuse. Our grandparents didn't care about the costs of extra kids, it's almost sad it's even a consideration now.

I was expensive enough as an only child.. Can't imagine my parents having to juggle 5 kids and their own lives as well.

I know of one couple who has three kids -- like 17 years old, 15, and 13.

Then BAM unplanned triplets.

Three little kids was a lot harder but after they grow up the more the better.

Just do what my wife and I did...space them out every 10 years. We have a 21 year old, 11 year old and 7 month old twins. Each time was a surprise, but I can say that I've never regretted a single second I've spent with my kids. Sure, it's pretty expensive, but we have managed to let my wife stay at home and still live comfortably. Kids aren't for everyone, but I can't imagine my life without mine.

Can't wait to see what kind of trouble me and these boys can get into.

Lol it's amazing

I had 3 under 4 at one point and it was awesome. They are all best friends and my life is immeasurably fuller than it would have been otherwise.

I'm about to, God willing, have 6 under 10.

True statement. However when your grandparents were in their twentys they could support a household with a single income earner and not still be in debt from college (if they went). Times have changed. Everyday life is exponentially more costly, most parents want their kids to enjoy the same circumstances of life as they had growing up. So instead of 4 kids they have two.

Are you serious? Plenty of good public school systems in LA.
