We have three. 11, 9, and 6. It's no big deal. The hardest part is getting them to all their different functions, practices and such with just two cars. But we make it work pretty well.

Plenty of good public school systems in LA.

The 2 Lithettes that went to Mandeville High School did better in Collegel than the one that went to Catholic School

Happens all the time. People get this perception that sending their kids to a private school is going to make them much more intelligent and they are going to go college and become an astrophysicist or some shite. If you live in a community with good public schools I don't understand why you would pay for their education. Raise them right and try and surround them with good people and they will be fine.

However when your grandparents were in their twentys they could support a household with a single income earner and not still be in debt from college (if they went). Times have changed.

Eh, there are many more options to spend money certainly. Our grandparents lived in smaller houses, had one Low end car, no boat, no high end appliances, no crazy lavish vacations multiple times a year, etc.

If you want to live in a 1200 sq ft house, with one car, and drive to all your vacations it's really not that expensive.

But I agree we choose to live better lives.
