Sooooo... we've found the guy without kids who chose to comment in a thread about what it's like to have kids. There's always at least one.

I've got three kids, numbskull. The youngest just finished undergrad.

Explain.

My health insurance through my job didn't change when I added another kid.

How didn't it make any sense? When a child is added, my health insurance premium increases a lot.

Maybe my state's insurers run different than your's.

Yellow,

Is it not true that the estimated cost of one child 0-18 1 million dollars??

I don't know a lot of folks who make 3 mil in the span of 25 years.

And yes of course if you avoid private schools it saves a ton. I still pay for it though through property taxes in the ISD system. Not that im complaining about that. I'll happily pay that tax.

???? Why live then!???

You can have both. Just have to properly manage your dick and cash flow.

My aunt told me not to come to her house with three children, cause as far as she's concerned, if you have three you may as well have seven.

They must, because I've never in my life seen a plan function like that. Every plan that I've seen is single, single+spouse, single+children, or family.

We have three children. Only change was it took five more minutes to get ready when we went out. We just bundled her up like the first two. She turned out well, now a pretty 23 y/o college student graduating this fall. We are very proud of her. No pics you horndogs....

My plan has 3 options

Self
Self and one other
Family. The more kids, the better the deal.

You are right. I was very curious and googled a bit. Apparently, it costs right around 245K now.

Cost of Kid

245K is manageable over 18 years. However, 735K over 18 years is another mortgage

Well I guess minds have been blown in this thread.

I'm gonna go in the corner and cry now that I realize a "family" plan is actually a thing.

Yeah it's not cheap, but the way I look at it, it's 3 chances that I'll have a kid who starts a tech company and takes care of me financially in retirement.

I've got 3 and I want another. With 2, they are angels, but for some reason, the 3rd bundle of joy has created anarchy 46% of the time. Keep it even. 2 or 4.
