Got shocked welding once to the point that I felt like my body locked up. Shop teacher laughed and said “I bet you’ll never do that again.” Dick. But he was right.

I pissed on an electric fence when I was a kid. Didn’t make that mistake twice.

Worked at shoneys between jr/sr year. My very last day I'm cleaning the grill and have to plug it back in. That plug was broken so you kinda had to mold it with your hand to get the three rounded prongs to fit into the socket. I was doing that... Then the next thing I remember was looking straight up as I'm lying on my back in the middle of the floor and the manager telling " it's your last day, you can't file a work comp claim"

Or severely injured, but I get it. Most people get shocked.

I was 5-6 yrs old and tried to "start" the house by putting a key into the carport receptacle. My Dad saw the whole thing and told me I needed to choke it first. I got up off the ground to try again and he grabbed before I could make a second attempt.

I was also the designated 9 volt battery to the tongue tester of the family.

All of that shite basically left me with a mild phobia. I flinch plugging in anything outside, and don't even talk about a getting into a pool at night with the pool light on.

Anyone that has been electrocuted can any longer post here. They are dead. Electrocution implies death. You were shocked.

Currently, no, but I have a capacity for resistance to being shocked, especially when listening to my favorite band, AC/DC. They were playing a college circuit a while ago, and I jumped on the main bus to go see them. Man, was I amped.

A guy from my hometown got electucuted and it split both of his arms open. Most of his arms had to be amputated.

If you are electrocuted, you are dead. If you felt a jolt, but are still walking around, then you have just been shocked.

I am amazed at how many times I have seen 110v and the occasional 220v mentioned in this thread. 110/220 hasn't really been around in houses since the 50s and the NEC switched to 120/240 for calculations 40 years ago.
