I have, once. When I was a kid.

Some bread got on the heating elements inside of the toaster and my thought was to scrape the stuff off the heat elements while the toaster was still on.. I got pushed backwards a few feet and my ears were ringing for a while afterwards.

Edit for all the edgelords. - from Merriam-Webster:

quote:

Electrocute: to kill or severely injure by electric shock

…I was not severely injured. Okay?

Yes. It's tastes kind of spicy.

Got lit up by a 110 outlet once. Turned the the breaker for the kitchen off and got lazy with checking everything. One was on a different breaker for some reason and lit me up. I'm too dumb to mess with that sh*t.

Thankfully not, but I did witness a person getting struck by lightning about 50 feet away from me, it was pretty surreal. Unfortunately, they didn't survive.

I got hit with a 120 several times…it’s definitely a surprise.

I was working with a guy that got hit with a 120 wiring a dishwasher under a counter. He jump up and gave himself a concussion slamming his head into the countertop. We all laughed of course.

Never hit a 240 and don’t play around with that shite.

Agreed, for some reason I had toaster as oven in my head reading it and was wondering how he shocked himself in a oven.

I will say 120 is alot worse if you are also grounded good.

Like just touching the hot isn't much, but touch the hot and neutral or ground at the same time and that'll wake you up for sure.

Touched a loose spark plug with one hand while my other hand was holding the metal on a push mower when I was a kid.
Also zapped by an electric fence that must have been turned up to the highest setting.

Those are my (2) not doing that sh*% again.

Changing an outside flood light as a teenager. Accidentally touched the inside of the socket.

Before a baseball game in HS, went to a convenience store for sunflower seeds. Leaned against a freezer and got zapped big time. Felt like my body just locked up.

YES

Our boat house flooded one year (over the roof), It had these metal cables which came down on both sides to lift the boat.

I came in from fishing barefoot in an aluminum boat and grabbed both cables to guide the boat in the lift, next thing I knew I was waking up in the bottom of the boat. Knocked me clean out.

I was lucky I fell in the boat and not the water

By 110, a few times. Hit an electric fence at my FiL's farm once, but only once.

I have a friend who has been struck by lightning twice. He also got a close up view of the Tuscaloosa tornado. If there is a storm, stay away from him.

I saw a guy get hit by lightning when I was like 12 at a baseball tournament.

One of our coaches on that same team claimed he had been struck by lightning through his work phone and it knocked him out of his chair.

Lightning fried my parents' tv and started a small fire on our privacy fence when I was a kid as well.

Once when I broke into this sweet house full of valuables during Christmas time when I thought the family was away. One little bitchboy kid was there and electrocuted me while I was trying to brutally murder him. Security cameras caught it, and I used the footage in the civil suit where I sued the dad for millions.
