Whataburger has always sucked. I have never understood the hype. Thin, flavorless school-lunchroom tier burgers, no better than McDonalds.

This. Just seems like most restaurants are not worth it anymore.

Maybe it’s the suppliers and not CFA. They can’t do shite about what the packers can provide. And I thought I’d read about losing a bunch of chickens to avian flu or some shite a while back. Maybe the packers are limiting what’s available so they can keep supply available.

Eating Whataburger outside of Texas just isn't the same.
My experience is the Whataburgers in Texas that have truck parking are 1000% better than the ones without.

Had it today for the first time in awhile and agree... it was pretty well down.

ETA: AND they fricked up part of the order - included fried nuggets instead of grilled.

Welcome to McDonalds world I guess

The chicken industry took a massive hit with having difficulty keeping up with demand

There is definitely a difference in the thickness of the chicken and the way it is cooked, but I would argue that it varies from location to location. Most of the ones in BR are thinner and drier. The day we were in Covington, those tasted like the ones I had in the 90s at the Cortana location.

Pound for pound though, CFA is more quality and the service is better than almost any other fast food you can find. It's not really close.

Heard a lot of good things about PDQ. One day I’ll get it if I’m ever back in central or southern Florida. Never seen it in the panhandle.

Double quarter pounder from McDonald’s is legit. It’s really their best burger

They aren't for the prices they charge these days. Taco Bell prices are outrageous considering what it is. I haven't had CFA in a while but I'm sure their prices are high now too.

I had Wendy's last week, a #1 plus 6 piece spicy nuggets was $15. WTF

Yeah and I'm surprised people are still surprised about bad service and/or product. Stop supporting this shite with your money.

Cube some chicken breasts. Toss it in some seasoning (Tony's, onion powder, garlic powder) and optionally, bread crumbs. Throw it in a pan with some oil and cook it for 5 minutes. Serve with some Chick-Fil-A sauce or Polynesian sauce you bought at the store. Delicious and no dealing with driving, lines, low wage workers, etc.

It varies by location. I could be a distribution thing impacting a range of restaurants but by CFA bona fides are pretty stout and I haven't noticed anything across the board.

It's not the product of a CFA-wide change, at least (like say the move from in-restaurant lemon squeezing).

Bojangles ATL airport (T6 area) is basically gas station food now. I can get just as good of a chicken filet at Racetrac, and much better at Brothers in NOLA.

They’re all over central Florida.

Their best selling point is their waffle fries. Chicken fil a’s have gotten TERRIBLE. Mushy, bland, trash.

PDQ’s are crispy perfection with the perfect amount of salt and pepper. The difference compared to CFA is massive.

Their sandwiches are also much better.
