i broke an iphone once, and they honored the warranty no questions asked. sent me a labeled box and a new phone and i sent the broken one back

Where did you get this warranty. I had the same thing happen. I got like a total of $147 to replace the unit. They depreciate it by age.

And even if it was newer, I think the maximum payout to replace an A/C was maybe $1500?

You only win if they can repair it, no matter the cost to repair, it's $75 deductible. However, on all the coverages, I looked, and every loss has a maximum payout in the year. I had 2 major plumbing issues. They paid me $500 for the first, as that was the policy limits. On the second, they told me I get nothing. They paid the maximum allowed for the year.

Warranty ended up being a joke. Mine was bought by realtor, and was an upgrade, top of the line policy, lol.

Yup, Samsung washer and Samsung dryer was able to get reimbursed and bought different brand products.

My wives’ Range Rover overpriced piece of junk don’t get me started. That thing stayed in the shop.

Years ago bought my son a demonstrator Nissan Hardbody 4x4 less than a year old with 2,300 miles. We drove it off the lot and the transmission went out. I bought Extndend warranty for 6yrs. They replaced the transmission 6 times until they found out the problem. The radiator and transmission cooler was one piece and hole would wear where the radiator fluid leaked into the transmission cooler.

Over the course of a year, I have a home warranty plan that has paid for multiple plumber and electrician visits. It just paid to replace my washing machine.

I've used it to replace a broken AC condenser in the past as well.

Without a warranty I think it is at least $100 to replace a screen.. At least on an iphone, I am sure it is more on an ipad.

No, I know he decreased the cost of the GAP insurance to make the numbers work and for him to sell 2 products instead of 1. I was ok with that. I was financing through the dealership because of the .09% interest. I was fine with how he worked the numbers.

Extended warranties on a car are pretty cheap compared to most repair costs. If you plan to drive car several years, then it's almost always to your advantage to buy one.

Outside of cars, it's been pretty rare that it's been worth the trouble.
