It's worse than the worst case scenario right now.

Same thing where I am in Midtown. I woke up at 6 am and the water was just below my front step. Right now my street is drained out except some water flowing on the sides of the road.

Somebody pointed out on the Facebook post that the lady isn't knitting...that's a life jacket. I also see a lady in the background with what looks like a pool noodle on her wheelchair.

You should still expect backup problems going forward, but that's awesome you're still draining. That sort of water movement could save tens of thousands of people from flooding when all said and done.
The synomptics have not changed since last night unfortunately. So you can expect the rain to pick up again later and into the overnight again. The longer that takes and more you guys can get drained, the better. Stay safe Lechler.

Just like the thread on the rant that was downvoted to hell when someone said the game would have to be moved.
A lot of people downplayed the potential effects when all of the data said it was gonna happen.

This is literally the 3rd or 4th year in a row we've had a once in a lifetime flood event in houston, im getting really sick of this shite. Condo living doesnt seem so bad anymore.

I've been wondering the same thing. During the Sabine River flood last year Entergy shut our power off for two days. I thought that was SOP.

Friends in Southgate (Watts) said water is halfway up yard. Without power for 24 hours though.

It is. Cat 4 in Dickinson generally means evacuation. DADS approves emergency preparedness plans for licensing for every facility and cover transportation and relocation. This wouldn't happen.
