re: Barry Bonds will be the one who breaks the HOF steroid barrier - Roger Klarvin
Just for reference, you could go 2-5 with a HR and a walk EVERY GAME, finish with 162 homers and STILL have a lower OPS than Bonds in 2004....

Barry Bonds will be the one who breaks the HOF steroid barrier - Roger Klarvin
It’s only a matter of time, they won’t be able to keep him out forever. The numbers are just too obscene and he was great long before roids. Also, regardless of what he was using, his run from 2001-2004 is still the greatest 4 year stretch any athlete in any sport has ever had. His OPS of 1.422 i...

re: Taylor Hamm & Billy Liucci make SWEET LOVE in 2019 + Football Recruiting Thread - Roger Klarvin
247 message boards aren’t very good, poor format, awkwardly moderated and most team boards have everything in one place as opposed to having non-sports boards. Their recruiting coverage and multiple ranking systems are second to none, though. ...

re: Rank your 2019 Schedule - Hardest to Easiest - Roger Klarvin
Our schedule is brutal, but while we have 4 games that are very likely losses our other 8 games are all very likely wins. Auburn and State could very well be .500 teams this year and we get them at home. There’s s HUGE gap between the four tough games and the rest of our schedule....

I think mindlessly ruling incomplete is EXACTLY what I’d expect to see from an official caught up in the moment....

re: What I think happened with the NFC Championship officiating - Roger Klarvin
I just think the official froze in the moment. He realized throwing a flag there essentially dictates who goes to the Super Bowl and the longer he pondered the gravity of the moment the harder it became to throw the flag. Eventually he waited so long that throwing the flag would almost appear more a...

re: The ugliest part of US from a topography standpoint - Roger Klarvin
If were talking depressing, then all the small, rural, poor towns in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are worse than anything in the Midwest or Great Plains. There’s places in Mississippi that I’ve driven through that legitimately look like third world countries. Apart from the urban centers, t...

re: The seriousness of actual racism is being diluted by the left - Roger Klarvin
Racism in general is a lot more subtle than it once was in this country. Most “racism” reported on by the media is, at worst, bias and stereotyping based on race and not true racism. Much is just hard truth they don’t like....

re: Today shows just how much luck plays into winning a title - Roger Klarvin
I agree. The Pats are really lucky to get there nine times.
Their greatness is in being in position to have fortune break there way so often. People forget how many times they’ve lost in the playoffs on a single play, and 3/5 SB wins were due to incredible strokes of luck. The...

re: Today shows just how much luck plays into winning a title - Roger Klarvin
You just don’t geherally see this stuff in sports where it’s a best of 5 or best of 7. Lucky breaks average out in a series and the better team, or at least the healthier team, almost always wins. In football one chance play can negate a 13/14/15 win season in an instant ...

Today shows just how much luck plays into winning a title - Roger Klarvin
The Rams are in the SB only because of an uncalled PI/personal foul The Patriots are in the SB only because a DL line up offsides on a game ending interception No matter how good you are throughout the year, in the end it’s often a single chance play that decides how your season ends. The dif...
