I never personally played D&D. But he's not hurting anybody and seems to have a real passion for it, so good for him.

He brings up a good point about keeping a plank among old friends. One of the reasons he keeps it he game going because it gives him and his friends a reason to get together.

Agree. He’s got a hobby he really enjoys. If more grown men had that, there’s be far less of a mental health epidemic amongst middle-aged and older men.

A D&D "dungeon master" is mostly just an interactive storyteller. From what I gather, it takes a tremendous amount of creativity and preparation to do it well. Glad he's got something he enjoys.
