This happened at Galatoire’s a few years ago. It caused a commotion for about a minute then everyone went back to their dinner.

Well sure, but I absolutely would not carry around a gun with no safety for this very reason.

Does the grip safety count? The trigger safety? You know proper holsters cover the trigger, and the trigger safety, right?

Who cares. You're the old man yelling at clouds, not me, now.

And a purse. Lipstick mascara, vape pen.

I remember a few year back some idiot in Kingwood (I believe) had a Derringer as a carry pistol. fricker fell out his pocket and fired when it hit the floor of a restaurant. Gut shot a lady. Believe it was an antique too. Dipshit.

Did anything happen to this woman?

My sauces say she jumped up and left as soon as it happened. Then, for reasons unknown, called the restaurant after and admitted to doing it. I guess to find out if anyone got hurt. Sheriff’s Office came out but didn't ID or charge her.

Chimes East might as well be boil and roux. The food is aight but the patrons are shite no matter what they try to do to stop it.

Sounds like you're not all for the Second Amendment

A well regulated militia... Unlike the Leftist narrative, this does not mean sheriff or national guard. Well regulated means trained. Requiring knowledge of firearm use does not violate 2A.

If it was BRPD I wouldn’t be surprised.

However, EBRSO not doing anything is a bit of a surprise. I’m sure they could have given her something.

At some point you have to pay for being stupid/clumsy

when this happens, what is usually the cause is that the pistol is put in the purse where other items such as coins, keys, pens or other objects can get in the trigger guard and cause the trigger to be pulled when putting it down or brushing up against something. If using purse carry, the pistol should ideally be put in a pocket with nothing else that can enter the trigger guard or put in a dedicated holster that covers and protects the trigger guard so that this does not happen. Same goes for pocket carry.

None of my handguns have a safety. They still have safety mechanisms in place that make it very difficult to fire without a smooth trigger pull from a finger

The issue is that once you start trying to regulate a right, you’ve already lost the plot.

This.

I feel that it's irresponsible to carry without a decent level of training, but that's your right under the 2A.

It sounds as though they do in fact have a safety, the long trigger pull being one.

I don't even bother arguing this point.

This is defined in the first line of the Constitution using "We the people", ergo it is directly speaking to the people.

Guns don't just "go off" no matter what CNN tells you.
