Sullivan's. This chick stood up and started with how I never would have met my ex unless she was involved. (Chick lived in BTR, I lived in ATL, and ex wife moved from NYC to IAH, so that clearly checks out.)

There are a few more sordid details I won't share, but even I was in a WTF moment. For 5+ minutes. Groomsmen were shooting me looks like, "Do I need to take her down?"

I had to take a field test to get my hunting license, why does some 21 yr old kid whose never operated a firearm before get to just walk right in and purchase one with no safety course taken or anything?

Because this is America. I have a hunting license and orange card from Hunter Safety class. I also have my CC permit. I had a very good instructor, and he did not teach us anything in that class that is not common sense.

A CC permit instructional class does not make you a better firearms handler. You put 20 rounds on paper at 10 ft.

It is a Catch-22. This is America and we have rights to own firearms and it is an extremely slippery slope when you give away an ounce of that freedom to liberals that hate this country and hate it’s values. Look at what’s happening right now in Colorado where they are about to implement an “assault weapons ban” that will include semi-auto shotguns. That’s right, that Browning A5 Gramps gave you will no be illegal. So we cannot ever give an inch on gun laws because we will never get that inch back.

I can see the other side of it when you consider how many fricking idiots are amongst us, like this dumbass that was in Chimes. That weapon should have been holstered. There is no such thing as “the gun went off.” It is pure negligence and low IQ.

That should have been a clue. I did notice the demographics had changed a lot. Food was fine but that request gave me second thoughts about going back. Now this.

One of the last times we visited BR, the Mrs and I went for lunch. We sit at the bar as always, and some blackout drunk black dude across the bar just starts popping off all this “white boy” shite at me. It never escalated into anything because he got distracted by other shite, but I realized that was no longer the spot it used to be.

Place got ratchet AF some time back.

Ridiculous. How does that even happen?

Gun loaded, one in the chamber, safety off?

Who decides what that is?

You remember the grandma in Katrina getting her revolver confiscated right?

It's not a catch-22, it's the 2nd Amendment, that is pretty clear.

Advocate for more gun safety classes in middle and high schools. Boy and Girl scouts. Parents that aren't morons, teach them.

But none of it can be compulsory. I don't need any training to exercise my 1st amendment rights, do I? It's kind of self correcting, if you f up with a gun, at least in Houston, you'll get corrected rather quickly.

Plenty of guns don't have manual safeties. Something in her purse must have lodged itself in the trigger guard.

Tossing a gun into a purse with a bunch of other shite is a terrible idea.

Annnddd this is why 2nd graders will continued to get slaughtered in classrooms in America.. we are the only big-boy country where things like that happen with regularity .

if someone is so morally depraved they will shoot a 2nd grader, you think a law on gun control will stop them?

why don't we just make shooting 2nd graders illegal?

A gun doesn’t just “go off” from setting a purse down.

Oooh, tell me about the high school kids killed on the south side of Chicago. Do they have less value?
Ya know, if I was allowed to carry, along with the dads from my hood, when volunteering in school, you can pretty much guarantee there wouldn't be as many of child fatalities as you'd expect.

But F you. A buddy that lives in Atlanta (DeKalb) post Parkland, reports that people are randomly allowed to wander around his kids elementary campus. Cause equity?

Meanwhile, I get to pre-register and go through a man trap, which involves three separate doors, after scanning my DL, to get into my kid's school.
