Is this a case of the group dining and dashing, or is it pure theft by the one chick who stole everyone’s money they left for the bill?
In college one my best friends in life was black. One night we went to a Chinese restaurant with his cousin. We paid and I left cash on the table for the waitress. And he went back on and took my cash because he felt like I shouldn’t have left that much (it was like a few bucks). And I laid into his arse about this stereotype and how he’s just perpetuating it. He has absolutely zero shame about it too.

In BR there's nice neighborhoods right next to ghettos throughout the city so most of the crab leg places are close to both. It's usually a somewhat mixed crowd but mostly black folks. Ive been frequenting these establishments for about a year and a half now and I've never witnessed any unruly behavior.

We avoided this stuff when segregation was a thing but noooo yall had to go ruin it. Now none of us can go to all you can eat places.

You couldn't pay me to work in the restaurant business and deal with these types of people.
In the modern day and age of Yelp, I'd probably get shut down after telling people they're not entitled to a refund or replacement dish because they don't like how my food is seasoned.

As much as black people complain about stereotypes they really love doing the things that perpetuate the stereotypes.

I guarantee you that if I owned a restaurant where they can run up $400 in crab, I'd require a credit card before serving just like Walmart gas pumps run a pre-charge of $150. As long as you require it for everyone, shouldn't be an issue.

The group paid, but the one who didn’t evolve and stayed farthest to the left on the evolutionary scale took it so they all dashed? $429 bill seems the restaurant staff would have paid a little more attention to these type shenanigans.

Shouldn't have to... if you want to retain CC before serving a group of fat blacks for expensive food, you should be allowed. They are free to dash out and dine elsewhere. There's zero reason to treat all parties the same.

A restaurant should hire a person who would sit at a bank of cameras and watch every table…..maybe not every table but definitely the usual suspecks……..

When I go out for a nice quiet dinner with my GF I shouldn't have to feel like I'm in the Livingston Parish Detention Center Cafeteria.

This whole black culture seems to be trending more downward than upward. Yesterday in small town Ark 2 small town high school bball teams in the state tourny semi finals got in a big fight after a close game. Maybe it's social media uprising but ever time I look at fb or x feeds them people are fighting and that's just locally.
