Tell the teacher that you wrote the paper for the girl last semester.

Would that work? I just assumed that the professor would then pass it up the food chain

All depends on how much of a shite the people involved gave. But my thinking would be that the next person up the line would first have to look at your college record and see that you’re not in the class. Would probably email you, then you respond with ignorance - “I’m not enrolled in that course.”

In fairness, my biology lab reports were an exact copy of my roommates from a few years prior.

I'm not even sure they were the same reports for the given experiment.

My TA never said shite to me, but I'm 6'1 195..so he was prolly scared to say shite to me.

Take the W and drop the class

the biggest issue is the girl. they will put the pressure on her and she'll crack, no matter how strong your defense is

Pro tip: You "might get accused of cheating on a paper." And you definitely should not be posting about it here.

Tell the teacher you were merely getting an early start towards establishing your credentials to become a democrat vice president one day.

True story. I was failing accounting class like a mother fricker. I had to have a C to pass. the final came and I overslept. I emailed my teacher if I could make it up.

I had a buddy in the class that got his final back with all 50 right answers. I wrote them down on my leg and took the test. Got some wrong on purpose but got an A on the test and passed the class.

I really hope you didn't turn it in word for word, if so you're probably fricked.

I hope you at least took the time to change some words or something, then you may have a small chance.

The way to do it is to read the other paper and take notes on it, then write a new paper based on those notes.

Your only option is to go nuclear with an excuse. Tell the teacher that you're transitioning and are depressed

The best you can hope for is an "F"
Possibilities include:
mention of it on your transcript
Expulsion

Guidelines at my school were F in the class and possible expulsion.

Plus you're a damn cheat, about on par with a thief.

It depends on the instructor. If you go in and you appear to be really sorry and feel really bad about it, she might see that you have "learned your lesson" because of how bad you felt about it.

I am usually somewhat sympathetic to this reasoning and would usually give a student a zero over turning them over to the plagiarism office. If you turn in a paper that I read literally within the same year and pass it off as your own, sorry but it's not only insulting to my intelligence, but insulting to the university as a whole that they let in someone this stupid. Be a ski bum for a few years and set up roots somewhere else.

You insulted your own "intelligent."
