I would tell the teacher you were super excited about this class. You have a friend who took it last semester so you were talking to her about it and how awesome it was. Something must have osmosised its way into your brain and you copied it by accident.

Also I can't believe you would even think to do that within someone turning in the exact paper last semester
Personally, best case is you like will receive a 0 on the paper and there will be some disciplinary action that won't bode well for your academic career

I knew a guy who sold drugs out if a dorm, he got a probation from LSU.
I know someone who plagerized a paper and was expelled. He had to go to BRCC.

I've caught students cheating numerous times. The severity of the punishment ranged from a 0 on the assignment--which guaranteed earning at max a C--to failing the course. Having read what you wrote, I'd probably fail you and have the dept head/associate dean make a determination on your academic future.

You're going to be expelled dude. The basically only rule you cannot break at a university is plagiarizism. You'd have been better off turning in a blank piece of paper or begging for an extension. But plagiarizism? You're fricked.
She set the meeting for next Tuesday because she has to get the paperwork done and have the principal in the meeting. The only discussion is probably whether or not to also expel the girl.
Best advice? Go ahead and drop out on Monday so you can have a voluntary withdrawal on your record instead of having to explain an expulsion if you try to go back.

I'm sure they'll offer her the alternative to rat on him so she wouldn't be expelled as well. She may get away scot-free or a suspended semester. He's totally fricked.
