Like through turnitin or whatever? OP didn't say anything about turning it in electronically so I just assumed that wasn't a thing here

Also change your occupation from "Self made millionaire" to "Buger Flipper at Jack in the Box".

I wouldn’t assume he goes to vandy because he has the logo by his name
I didn’t go to ULaLa, my parents did

If you were dumb enough to turn in a 100% completely plagiarized paper from a semester before through an electronic anti plagiarizing system then I got nothing for you. You are going to get raped

How hard is it to write a freaking paper? You can't BS your way through 1000 words or so?
Posted on 10/26/17 at 6:42 pm to Goldrush25
And it's not like it's hard to get away with plagiarizing really. You read something, take note of the key points, and then reshape them in your own words

Yep wont matter what you say at schools I went to youd be expelled and hard getting accepted after youve been caught.

You turned in a paper to the same teacher that was turned in that recently? Not a good move. I'm assuming you are remedial student.

Those programs were around when I was a freshman a decade ago, so let's not even take into account of how that programming has advanced in the 10 years since then. The OP is a fricking idiot for turning in the same paper from the year before. And even without the computer software, the professor probably isn't going to forget a paper they read the semester before (unless it's a different teacher with the same class thesis).

Drop the class now and take the W. Otherwise you're fricked

I don’t know about vandy, but at LSU you’re still well within the drop date. If you’re that worried then drop the course. Ignore the teacher.

This is fake news, definitely didn't happen.
OP drops the title and then doesn't return to the thread

Doesn't that last only until halfway in the semester? That's how it worked at Ole Miss at least.

you saying that you turned in a paper that the same teacher saw from someone else last year?....damn, sonnn....

I don't remember. Grad School was allowed one month before the end of the semester
Posted on 10/26/17 at 6:50 pm to SlapahoeTribe
Would that work? I just assumed that the professor would then pass it up the food chain
Posted on 10/26/17 at 6:51 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
So you have the class bible and you decide to use a paper from literally last year...
You deserve to be expelled lol.

It depends on the instructor. If you go in and you appear to be really sorry and feel really bad about it, she might see that you have "learned your lesson" because of how bad you felt about it.
People I know, was caught cheating.. who went to LSU, they were encouraged to drop the class by the instructor.. Who could have been a dick and taken it much further, but you just have you read the situation bruh.

Dropping a class will not get you out of cheating.

I've already decided to just come clean but I'm wondering what can I expect and what would be something I could do to lesson the blow.
Not come clean and somehow convince the girl to not rat you out. But if caught doing that, you're definitely getting expelled.
At the very least, if you fess up, you can expect to fail the paper and likely the class. Expulsion is also a distinct possibility (permanent or for a semester/year depends on the school).
For everyone else, schools have had machines that can scan your paper and compare it to books and other papers. Try this stuff at your own risk; the one at my college picked up on my paper because it was organized similarly to one of my paper's sources.
