Eat good and stay at a nice hotel. Venture out during the day and stay close to your hotel at night. It’s a little sketchy at times, but can be a great time. Wouldn’t recommend getting belligerent and walking around at 3 am alone, trying to find your way back to your hotel

I’ve done this before and survived fortunately - but won’t do it anymore

Nah...I'm getting too old and I stopped drinking 13yrs ago and definitely not going back.

Why? Go anywhere else. Don't give your money to that place.

As others have said, stay in a hotel with a pool. August is hot as frick and it’s the slowest time of the year.

We went to New Orleans in October. The only thing worthwhile, and it should be on everyone’s bucket list, is th National WW2 Museum. Stay at Higgins Hotel, right across street from the museum. Great restaurants within walking distance.

Spend two days, and get out of dodge before you get shot. Also, homeless all over the place within 4-5 blocks of the museum. Keep your heads on a swivel. Then go to Houston space center, pacific ww2 museum in Fredericksburg, Texas.

The WW2 museum is great. Actually doing anything that costs money would be a good idea. People without money hang around where it doesnt cost money to be.

More specific information (such as addresses) would help, but generally speaking, if the choice is between Broadmore and the real Garden District, I would choose the Garden District.

If you breakdown that car that stops full of black male juveniles is not from the auto club.

Remember if you shoot someone the DA is funded by Soros.

Just because some visit and are not killed, carjacked, etc is no guarantee. The local male culcha will kill for sport.

Rent a car. Don't take your own to NOLA.

As I mentioned, I do have a car but would probably like to walk as much as possible.

In New Orleans?

In August?

Christ, I can't get from the front door to my car at 7 AM without breaking into a sweat.
