I had to do oil spill inspections back in the day. One day had to go under this overpass while checking the beach. As I approached the pass I noticed it held a group of residents. They sent out their troll, a Meth head lady who’s age was indeterminable 30-80. She said in troll voice, “What are you doing here?” I gave her my quest, and she allowed me passage to the other side. Oil spill was a crazy time on the coast.

I have stayed in downtown Mobile many times. I’ve always felt safe and had a great time. Nice bars and food.

Railroad guy told me they can’t go all away across because idiots will try to beat it and then get stuck with nowhere to go so the rates of vehicles hit would go up. They said their main problems now is trailered vehicles getting stuck on the raised track bed and people getting hit by second train on duel tracks. Also, if you break down or get stuck don’t call 911 call the number on the sign at the crossing and give the crossing number. They can immediately stop the train or tell you to get out way cause it may already be too late if train is less than mile away.
