We are about 100 miles from Cape Canaveral but the sky is clear, should see something.

Man I always wanted to watch the shuttle launch. I wish I could see something like this in person.

One thing that blows my mind is how big these rockets needs to be to get to the moon. Makes the shuttle (which was massive as well) seem tiny.
I’m getting caught up on the thread while watching on YouTube, but I recently saw a video about the Saturn V. One fact that blew my mind was that each of the 5 engines consumed 1 ton of kerosene and 2 tons of liquid oxygen per second. 15 tons of fuel burned per second, in total. Wild to think about that kind of scale.

You know, I’m gonna get a DV dog pile for this, but if Iran ever had a juicy target for a drone…..

We get lots of commercial air traffic overhead, would be pretty cool to see this from a plane.

I am willing to be there are security protocols for the flight path

Stat - this sucker gonna produce 8.8m lbs of thrust, about 15% more than the Saturn V, yet almost half as much thrust as SpaceX Starship, which produces 16M!

Hard to believe there are actually humans all the way at the top of that giant rocket in that tiny capsule. Pure dragon blood.
