About how many hours will this take out of your weekend? If you go with her and stay long enough for the reveal, some food and a few drinks…maybe 3 hours?
I’m guessing it doesn’t take long for you to fix your hair or makeup. So maybe reconsider if you can fit it in your schedule. You can rest when your dead!

We had other reasons not to do a gender reveal, but that aside we wouldn't do one regardless. It's an obligation for everyone else. No one else but your moms and grandparents, and maybe two friends, really give a shite. And you're taking people's freaking weekends away with a gender reveal party. Post a pic on FB and move on.

Some of y’all are either hopelessly miserable or you have no friends. I could care less.
It’s just an excuse to hang out. All the gender reveals I’ve been to the women all congregate somewhere and the guys all hang out in the backyard and shoot the shite. There’s like literally 5 minutes where you stand around and do the reveal. Other than that it’s just a fun time.
We see our friends less and less as we get older and life gets in the way. I cherish the opportunities to hang out. I also love my wife and enjoy being around her and doing things with her. I don’t consider it a painful waste of time to go hang out with her on the weekends. If you feel that way you should of gotten divorced a long time ago.
