She spent money on dying her hair while not having an income

I mean, let's not act like remote jobs are the only ones that have layoffs. I've personally been laid off while my company went under well before Covid was being brewed up in the lab.

My job is actually more secure now that I work remote than it was when I worked in an office.

She's not broke. This is all a front. Since her viral vid with Cloudfare, she's been getting hired to speak at numerous events, mostly at big trade shows in Vegas and Cali. I followed her Tik Tok several months after she went viral. Those conventions are all expenses paid plus at least a $10k speaker fee. The idea that she can't find a job is just her new schtick. One of the issues she speaks up against is Return to Work mandated by Big Tech companies lol. She found an interesting niche for lazy young tech workers.

Just watching the layoff video. Did she say that she hasn't underperformed but at the same time has closed zero deals?

When this first went down apparently someone selling the same product at the same company said that starting off, six months before your first sale isn’t uncommon. They gave her 4.

I don't blame her for continuing to get her hair done. The homely account manager rarely makes sales.

Also we need to clarify what is a 'tech' job. I don't consider sales, HR, etc as part of the tech world

What a blackpill for modest people who do the hard stuff. Sometimes I hate America

Beautiful eyes and needs to stay a brunette. Pretty well spoken for an angry 20-sonething.

Know who should contact her for a job on the spot? Twin Peaks Baton Rouge.

so she got hired at the tail end of an overstaffing wave at her company, close of Q4 was on the horizon and the company decided to right size the staff

she did not get a chance but she should not have been hired in the first place

if they were that close to layoffs why were they hiring new hires, no experience in the first place?

a lot of this behavior from the Gen Zs is they go to college and are treated by their university like a customer, catered to and coddled. Then they become institutionalized and expect their job to coddle them like that too.

Then they find out it isnt like that all and cant handle it

Hey that was me, the OP. And yeah, it was a tough selling environment. When i started we'd get months of grace, but by the time she was let go they didn't even care anymore.

This is completely accurate. There was an insane hiring binge where they grew the team from 14 sales reps to just over 90 in less than two years. They wre putting woefully inexperienced people in that role, then acted shocked when those same people weren't performing. On top of that a bunch of people were still at 0% attainment constantly and yet they just kept adding people. It was baffling.

It did take us awhile to get deals done, but that was still an absurd amount of audacity to trot that line out.

Tech has been exceptionally heartless lately. Hire a bunch of people then spend January and February firing them in 15 minute increments or just via mass email.

She’s everything that’s wrong with the TikTok generation. Entitlement, narcissism, apathy, etc.

Dumb bitch needs to man up and accept that she wasn’t closing enough sales volume which is why they let her go.
