Its not near that bad. It'll slow down when the river is chocolate milk but the river will clear up and come out of flood stage in 2-3 days.

We've had a lot of rain in the Ozarks this spring and you can see it recovers quicker than you think. USGS Gauge

There's some walleye in there too. That's my favorite freshwater fish to keep
You can float the Eleven Point almost year round since it's spring fed. Greer spring puts 200 million gallons of water daily into the river.

Its one of the biggest springs in the US and there are two similar sized springs close by. Big Springs flows into the Current River in MO and Mammoth Spring flows into Spring River in AR
The White is mostly trout water and will be filled with jet boats.

The lower buffalo wilderness section from Rush to Buffalo city is remote. Its 24 miles and no where to take out. Probably the best fishing section since it has water year round

The Eleven Point River in Southern Missouri is nice as well. Its trout water until Turner Mill. From there into Arkansas is good smallmouth fishing

There's speculation building that the issue is a design flaw not quality control from the factory.

If it is actually the cam grinding on the bearings then a new engine is just a band aid.
Cairo, IL has a wall around the town

Bring some rope for a clothesline. Dry clothes are a game changer.

Ticks have been really bad this year. Make sure to check after being on land
As mentioned, below Carpenter dam. There's access below Blakely dam, Hwy 227 sw of town over Mazern creek. Lake Ouachita and the rivers that feed it have good access since most of it is National forest/COE land but are more of a drive
Carter's big island near Parsons, KS. Its 2 hours from Fayetteville
You can get that bad boy with a 24 hp kawasaki. Both are built in the US and are good mowers

All those lakes are stocked by the POA, not game & fish so you never really know what you'll catch. I've caught flathead and rainbow trout in one of them. You gave some solid advice for going off maps
I'm out by Gravette but I have a BV poa card. I think the bream fishing is better than crappie in those lakes.

Eucha (and Grand) over in Oklahoma are better for crappie imo
Lots of public land, lots of golf courses, very good fishing (Oauchita, Millwood, Blue Mountain). Tornados and flash floods are the most common issues.

You don't have to get far-off I-30 before it gets rural. You'll probably have to go to Little Rock for health care.

My family that's moved there for retirement all love it
You're gonna need a second cat.

Go down to the local shelter and adopt the meanest tomcat they have. He will likely run the other cat off. Or they may become best friends. It's really the only option you have
I bought a Millennium m300 tree seat and have been using it more than my saddle this year.

Yes, you will have less vantage than in a tree but it's really comfortable, can be set up in less than a minute and only 4lbs
OK non resident licenses increased last year. $500 license plus $200 rifle permit now. The rifle/muzzleloader/archery permits are now separate as well

I did a falconry class at the Biltmore before covid. Having a hawk take off and land on your arm was a cool experience
