She was good. The show was good early. Then it went badly off the rails.

How is that different from hating someone for their political views?

There is a shitload of that going on here now. Demonizing the people who vote or believe differently than you but are citizens of the same democracy. It’s dumb and you are a tool of the enemies of our great country.

Following the events of 2020, which saw Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests around the world, Carano was asked to show her support for the movement. When she didn't post anything online, some on social media accused her of being racist.

The other day Mike Tyson was on a podcast and they asked him what he thought about Hulk Hogan and him being racist, etc.. He said something along the lines of "He wasn't racist, just because you don't like certain knacks about different people don't mean your racist, racist are people who want to kill someone because they are a certain race. He just didn't want his daughter to date black guys"...

I laughed that he called it "knacks".. But the point of this is... He is exactly right. Every race has stereotypes that everyone knows doesn't apply to everyone in that race, it applies to just enough for it to become a stereotype... For the most part. And its crazy that people were being accused of being "racist" for not posting about BLM.

Disney has TDS

This is true but there is a never ending supply of supposedly red pilled Americans who will line up next spring to herd their pre-teen chilluns to get a pic of them with Mickey at Groomer World.

Just stop it!

I wish there was a fun, conservative oriented theme park to go to

Noah’s Ark looks interesting but I don’t think there are roller coasters

That’s not what it said. It said in the lawsuit

quote:

as well as a demand that the court should force Lucasfilm to recast her and pay at least $75,000 in punitive damages.

Recast and at least $75k in punitive damages. If she wasn’t recast, which is a job, I would imagine they would be seeking compensation in a settlement.

That’s automatically a death sentence if branch covidians were in power. They have the gall now to call others bootlickers.

It was insane how quick some were to ostracize, look down upon, pray for loss of jobs, and snitch on friends and family for not getting the jab. I always wondered how Germany could turn on their neighbors like that back then and then covid brought it all to light. And the stakes weren’t nearly as high with covid as they were for WW2. Frightening stuff.

She sued to be recast and for 75k. She wasn’t recast and settled 4 years later.

Disney writing a nice press release was all she probably got from the lawsuit

The American left is so historically ignorant it's painful.

I doubt seriously that most (if any) of them have researched the history of the Palestinians and their ties to genuine Nazis- as they tell US we are "on the wrong side of history"......

I haven’t paid any attention to this, but the $75,000 is likely a minimum jurisdiction limit for whatever court she was in (probably federal court with diversity jurisdiction). She wasn’t suing for $75,000, that was a minimum threshold to give the court jurisdiction over the dispute.

Based on the statement, it appears the settlement, which is almost certainly confidential, includes future casting. There was likely a monetary component as well, but we will likely never know.

This statement is just to make her feel a little better about herself. I highly doubt they will be "identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future.” Even a million dollar settlement is nothing to Disney just for her to go away. Her career is over so I don't get why everyone is acting like this is some big win. Her last movie was a Hunter Biden biopic three years ago.
