I thought they charged a fee at least in some hotels for non-guests.

Those waffles are not good, but she didn't spray the waffle maker first.

Next time you travel stay at a Drury Inn. You can thank me after you have had their breakfast bar. They also do a happy hour in the afternoon with 3 comp drinks per night's stay and snacks to go along with it. Rates are reasonable and rooms/hotel are always clean and safe too.

Dollar for dollar, the Drury by the San Antonio River Walk might be the best hotel in America…

I’ve seen this happen since at least 2005. So not a new thing.

It’s never occurred to me to do something like this, lol. Just not in my head.

If asked to describe the suspect, what race would you say they are?

Apparently you haven't had a breakfast at a Thai hotel. The Marriott in Phuket had a phenomenal breakfast.

Never stayed a Drury. I know there is one in HSV located near Kord Technologies, which I noticed while attending work stuff. I have heard good things from people who have stayed at Drury Inns.

In my 30 years of work travel I don't think I have been able to hit the breakfast buffet or the Hotel Manager's Happy hour but maybe once or twice. Maybe a few times on the weekends. It was always leave while dark, return after dark.

Have not stayed at the one in Phuketgrad (iykyk)- but the ones in other parts of Thailand have an outstanding, next-level breakfast setup.. and im not even a breakfast person .. in all my years of work travel in the US, i rarely had breakfast, only coffee then a protein bar around 10am to hold me over til lunch .. but these hotel breakfasts in Thailand are crazy good .

Also in Thailand, iirc usually they check for room key or make you sign in before pigging out .

Imo, without knowing your specific circumstances or industry- it sounds like you’re doing it wrong .

I traveled a ton around the US in my former corporate w*rk life.. one of the main advantages of being on the road- as opposed to working from home and/office which i also did a ton- was being able to create my own schedule and control my own calendar.. in my case, i did the math and figured out that ive stayed almost three years of my life in hotel rooms, and if you’re gonna sacrifice like that and work your arse off (which i did)- might as well dictate to the customers when *you* are available to meet and let them work around that , so that your road life doesnt become any more hellish than it needs to be .. .. at least that’s my philosophy .

This may have been said but there are a lot of folks who stay and don’t eat.

The ironic part is most hotels use a key card to access the room. Wouldn't be hard to put a card reader on the cafeteria. Tells me it's not as big of a problem as some would make it out to be.

I’ve been at several HI expresses recently where you had to show key card.

The one on seigen in br had people at door to shoo away the homeless (when the megaplex was nearby)
